Nils Reinvald

Nils Reinvald (b. 1983, Riga) is an opera and theatre maker based in Zurich. He came to the stage by way of theology and Gestalt psychotherapy. He makes post-dramatic work that asks where ritual survives in a secular age, and how meaning arrives in the body before language reaches it.Directed Balkan Opera (HMT Munich, 2022). Wrote and co-performed Not Another One, a site-specific ensemble piece on adolescent suicide staged in schools, 2023–25.
